Yes indeed, single-eyed twins can have the same genetic footprint. Therefore, single-eyed twins are an issue for Forensics, where the genetic fingerprint is being used since long. However, the Gimel ID is not being used in Forensics. Gimel ID is being used for verification of identities as well as authentication purposes. Thus, single-eyed twins are no problem for Gimel ID.

Of course, we maintain utmost data privacy. Gimel ID builds on DNA data, however, we make sure that no DNA data are leaving the lab. We are using encryption algorithms to make sure that nobody outside the lab get access to personal data. Since this is a one-way encryption, nobody can draw conclusions on your DNA from reading the encrypted identity.

When using the Gimel ID for authentication purposes you can do that without sharing personal data. This is called Zero-Knowledge-Proof. Gimel ID is using the Passkey approach, rather than passwords. You decide which data you are willing to share with whom.
